Do you have printed detailed instructions on how to install your panels?
Yes, installation instructions are available on the Web site on our installation page. Printed installation instructions are available by online ordering through the Request Samples or Literature section.
If an adhesive manufacturer states that their product can be beaded on (put on in a random line or pattern) on the back of the panel instead of the 100% coverage you recommend, is that what should be done?
No. The back of the panel must be covered 100% with adhesive to achieve a proper bond. Less than 100% coverage can result in air pockets and bubbles in the frp panel.
Do I have to use rivets when I install Structoglas?
Though we recommend that Structoglas be installed either with a combination of adhesive and fasteners, with adhesive alone, or fasteners alone, the choice of which method to use depends upon the room and wall conditions. Check local building codes for any restrictions or guidelines regarding approved installation methods. Either nylon drive rivets, stainless steel, or aluminum screws are appropriate.
Can I use Structoglas in a clean room installation?
Yes. Structoglas panels can be used in "clean room" applications. Structoglas is commonly specified for food preparation, pharmaceutical, and medical settings where sanitary, highly cleanable walls are required. See technical bulletin 2501 for more information.
Can Structoglas be used in indoor swimming pool areas?
Yes. Structoglas is ideal for this setting. Structoglas is known for its moisture and corrosion resistance in high humidity installations. It won't rust, pit, dent, or peel like metal grid systems.
Can Structoglas be installed directly over ceramic tile?
Structoglas can be installed directly over ceramic tile. We recommend the use of rivets and adhesive should be used on porous surfaces only.
Can Structoglas (frp) be used behind the grills and ovens in commercial kitchens?
No, we do not recommend installing Structoglas behind or near a heat source, such as cookers, ovens, and deep fryers, which radiate temperatures exceeding 130ºF (55ºC).
Do I have to use a sealant when installing Structoglas?
Silicone sealant should be applied in all moldings and around all panel edges, fasteners and fixtures to provide moisture proof installation.
Can structoglas be used for walls in outdoor shower stall exposed to New England weather?
Structoglas wall panels are made for interior use ... When the panels are used outdoors, after a period of time they tend to break down and chalk.
Can this product be used in a camper that sits all the time?
Structoglas panels can be used on the interior side of a camper. However, this product is not recommended for exterior use.
Can Structoglas be applied over sheetrock?
Yes, our Structoglas FRP can be applied over sheetrock. Please follow the Installation Instructions regarding the expansion and contraction of the panels at 6876.

Can you paint Structoglas?
Painting Structoglas is not recommended because the finish is designed to be a non-adherable surface. If painting is necessary an epoxy or acrylic-based paint is suggested.
How can I clean Structoglas?
Use a mild cleaner (such as 5-10% solution of automatic dishwasher detergent in water) not to exceed 130ºF. A soft brush is recommended for embossed panels. Rinse thoroughly. Remove hard water deposits with 10% solution of vinegar with water. See our cleaning instructions for more information.
Is smooth Structoglas easier to clean than embossed?
No. Embossed panels have been tested to be as easy to clean as smooth panels and maintain an acceptable appearance longer than smooth panels. Sequentia strongly supports the use of embossed panels over smooth panels for years of cleaning.
I need a one-hour fire rated wall panel. Does Structoglas meet that requirement?
No. Hourly ratings refer to "assemblies" or "systems". A complete wall (studs with gypsum board on both sides) is tested. Structoglas is a "wall finish" not a "wall assembly or system". Please refer to technical bulletin 2505 for more information.
What do you recommend to cut or drill holes in your panels?
To cut the panels we recommend you use a carbide blade, fine tooth. To drill holes in the panels a carbide drill bit should be used with safety glasses. For complete safety installation guidelines, see our installation guide.
Can you use Structoglas panels on boats?
You should not use Structoglas on an exterior application of any boat.
Will salt water or sea air harm Structoglas panels?
No.
Can Structoglas panels be used in an emergency shower?
Yes, the type of short or limited contact that most chemicals will make with our panels, while being rinsed away with water, should result in no chemical reaction within the panels.
Can you turn the textured outside of the panel in toward the wall when you install it?
No, this is not recommended.
When installing Structoglas wall & ceiling panels what do you use to butt each panel to each other,what type of material would this union be fabricated from?
When installing Structoglas wall & ceiling panels we recommend that you use the division bar between each panel, leaving an 1/4" gap for expansion and contraction of each panel. The division bar as well as the other molding that we have is a non-staining vinyl molding. For additional information on installation please refer to our Structoglas installation guide at 6876.
Does Structoglas have an R-Value?
Structoglas does not significantly contribute to the thermal property measurement of the wall assembly. Structoglas R value is computed by multiplying the thickness (0.090") of the panel by 2.5 - ex. 0.090" x 2.5 = R value of 0.225.
Does Structoglas have any acoustical value?
Structoglas has no acoustical insulating properties. Acoustical insulation is measured in NRC (noise reduction coefficient) and STC (sound transmission coefficient).
What adhesive should I use for Structoglas panels?
Sequentia recommends an FRP adhesive. There are several adhesive manufacturers who have a fully trained staff who will answer questions regarding your specific installation. See technical bulletin 2563 for phone numbers.
Is Structoglas Class A panels fire retardant? If not, at what temperature will it burn?
Structoglas Class "A" material is graded per ASTM E-84 test method. It has a self ignition temperature of 750º to 850ºF.
Is Structoglas USDA and FDA approved?
Structoglas is USDA/FSIS certified as a non-toxic, easily inspected surface material. FDA approval pertains to surfaces that are in direct contact with food. As a wall and ceiling cover, Structoglas has only indirect contact. See technical bulletins 2501 and 2505 .
Is Structoglas waterproof?
Yes, Structoglas's water resistant panel provides a barrier for water if installed appropriately.
Does Sequentia offer a Warranty for Class A and Class C Structoglas Panels?
Yes. Structoglas has a 10 year warranty on Structoglas panels. Our warranty can be seen on our website under technical data information form #2508.
Will mineral spirits dull the Structoglas finish?
No, mineral spirits will not dull the surface, but when being used as a cleaner, care must be taken to thoroughly clean the panel to ensure that no residue is left behind. Residue from the cleaner may make the panel look dull.
Do you guarantee your panels against yellowing?
No. Some discoloration will take place over time. Many factors such as cleaning, climate, pollution, etc. will determine the degree and rate of discoloration. This does not however affect the integrity of the panel. The panels are warranted against structural defects.
How much does a 4' X 8' fiberglass panel weigh?
20.1 lbs.
Who is a reseller of Structoglas rivets in my area?
Refer to the Locate a Reseller section of the Structoglas Web site to find a local reseller.
Do you manufacture panels that have sound absorption?
No, we do not manufacture a panel that is sound proof.
How many colors can I select from?
You can select from 7 colors Structoglas colors (silver, ivory, white, almond, beige, black & gray) and 5 StructoDécor colors (cotton white, almond, fawn brown, morning mist gray, and willow green).
Is FRP available in different finishes ?
Structoglas wall panels are made in 5 different finishes that include the decorative beaded frp, tile-look, and textured frp, and the durable embossed and smooth finish.

Sequentia Corrugated Panel Questions:
Can I use your corrugated or greenhouse panels on interior application?
Corrugated panels are designed for exterior use and therefore do not have a fire rating. Local Building codes should be checked prior to using the panels in an interior application.
Are your entire greenhouse or corrugated panels the same and does it really make a difference what type we use?
Our greenhouse panels come in different weights and thicknesses. This is something you should consider before you buy panels. If you live in a northern climate with heavy snowfall or in areas that tend to get high winds, you should take this into consideration before buying your panels. If you are unsure about your area or the application you want the panels for, please contact our inside sales office.
Do you recommend using a sealant when installing Sequentia Corrugated panels, and if so what type is recommended?
When installing Sequentia Corrugated panels, the use of sealant is recommended at the seams between panels and also where the panels meet the flashings. An exterior rated mildew resistant 100% silicone caulk is recommended.
How much snow will your corrugated panels support?
Our panels can support up to 40 lbs. per square foot when using our Super600 panels and the supports are placed at least 24 inches apart. For further information, refer to our installation guide.
What type of fastener do you recommend when installation Sequentia Corrugated panels ?
We recommend the use of Sequentia Aluminum nails 1-3/4" screw nails with neoprene washer. In the event these fasteners are not readily available exterior grade fasteners (screws or rink-shanked nails) of at least 1-3/4" length with a gasketed screwable washer under the head.
